suMNER ALTERATION

This project is a small house alteration in Sumner, Christchurch where the brief was to bring natural light into the home and expand the floor area with an open plan living layout. The added structure has been emphasized and turned into a feature, being boxed out, plastered and painted - which creates visual lines running up and over the room.
